GET ON YOUR BIKE IN TRALEE!

The Tralee to Fenit Greenway is a stunning scenic 13.6 off road cycling and walking trail along the old railway line between Tralee Casement Train Station and the quaint seaside village of Fenit. The Greenway offers spectacular and safe off road facilities for all ages and capturing some of Kerry’s most scenic landscapes.

Tralee to Fenit Greenway Route

Once you embark on the trail towards Fenit there are picnic benches available, there are no stops directly on the route, packed lunch is available from the hotel and our reception team will be happy to arrange for you. If you come off the trail, The Tankard Bar & Restaurant is accessible and once you complete the trail in Fenit itself, Mike’s Cafe, Navo Café and the Boathouse Café are all serving food & beverages.

Explore the pier where local fishing enthusiasts fish from or admire the boats docked in the Marina. At the end of the pier there is a magnificent bronze monument of Brendan the Navigator, climb the steps up and enjoy breath-taking views of the bay. Stroll the path along the beach or enjoy a picnic on one of the picnic benches overlooking the Atlantic and Fenit Lighthouse. At the end of the path you’ll find old diving boards and changing area, a location popular with locals for a sea swim. Fenit beach has been awarded Blue Flag Status and during Summer months a lifeguard is present.

If you are looking for an activity while in Fenit, there are sailing courses, Stand Up Paddling Boarding, Kayaking and sea swimming to enjoy!

If you are bringing your own bike we are happy to store it in our secure bike storage unit and we also have a drying room where you can dry out any items. If you wish to rent a bike there are many local bike rent suppliers available.
