Listowel Writer's Week 29th May - 2nd June

This year will be the 42nd Listowel Writer's Week annual literary festival 2013. There will be writers and panelists from over 10 countries. There will be in excess of 60 events over the five days of the festival, with readings, workshops, book launches and more which will certainly cater for everyone's literary tastes.

Kingdom Alliance Sportive 1st - 3rd June
To mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of Tralee Cycling Club, they are running a mammoth 3-Day 300 mile Leisure Tour of Kerry. The Kingdom Alliance Sportive will be held over the June bank holiday weekend. It also promises to be a real challenge for the leisure cyclist, with each stage approximately 100 miles long and taking in North & East Kerry, Mid-Kerry and West Kerry respectively.

Feile na mBlath 15th - 17th June

This weekend's Feile na mBlath or Tralee Garden Festival will be bigger and better than ever according to Cllr. Johnnie Wall who chairs the 20 strong working group organising the three day event. It is one of the largest garden festivals in Munster and is hosted in the superb surroundings of Tralee Town Park with its outstanding rose garden. The free to access festival is now iin its 5th year and this year there will be over 50 seperate events over the three days which will be officially opened by Mayor Terry O'Brien.

Heroes Week 12th - 17th June

As part of the Gathering Ireland 2013 celebrations, the chiefs of the County Kerry Emergency Services invite emergency services from overseas to join them for a week long reunion among colleagues in Ireland. Heroes Week is a non-profit initiative inviting everyone who has served in the emergency services - police, fire service, coast guard, ambulance/paramedic, Red Cross or RNLI to come to Tralee and be treated as guests of honour in Kerry's capital town.

Kerry Activity Week 28th June - 13th July

Sporting Organisations in the Kingdom unite for the first time to stage Kerry Activity Experience 2013. A fun packed schedule of events including five new mass participation and spectator activities for Kerry including - John Egan Under 14 GAA International Tournament, a brand new Under 13 FAI Soccer Tournament, TriGrand Prix Ireland Tralee Triathlon, Kerry Walk Day and Sports Partnership and the Family Pedal in the Park. The energetic fortnight of fun will commence with a launch at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium and it will embrace the hugely successful Radio Kerry Ring of Cycle and hopefully a Munster Senior Football Final in Killarney.
